September was a WHIRLWIND... I didn't have one day to sleep in and relax literally the entire month (is this what I have to look forward to with children?). I started in Miami, the next day was Fashion Week, I flew strait to Croatia the day after Fashion Week, then flew strait to Santa Barbara, drove down to Los Angeles and got back to New York two days ago.

I'd love to say October is going to be a chill month but I'm hitting Los Angeles THREE times so, I felt there was no better time to post about where to eat in LA.

California food is my fav...

▹ Butchers Daughter on Abbott Kinney in Venice. I FUCKING LOVE Venice. It's rough, yes. But I love neighborhoods that are a little rough around the edges and have charm. There is a location in NYC that I love. For all you meat eaters, this is a vegan / vegetarian restaurant but it's amazing!!

▹ Gjelina - Also in Venice but not vegan / vegetarian. I've eaten there for both breakfast & dinner it's BOMB. It also has such an amazing vibe. I've eaten at one of their long shared tables inside and also out on the patio (with Penny obvs).

▹ The Ivy Beverly Hills - Um yes. This is a Los Angeles institution. I remember flipping through tabloids in high school looking to see which celeb was spotted there. Through it all, this place has still retained it's class and reputation as an LA hot spot. I die over the waiters in pink shirts with floral ties, the white picket fence and the food is AMAZE - I always get the tacos & the crab salad.

▹ Sugar Fish - You haven't had good sushi until you've had Sugar Fish. It is the most fresh sushi EVER... I am obsessed with the sushi rice. This sounds weird but it's warm and it tastes SO good...  I don't understand how plain white sushi rice can be life changing but it is & so is everything else. Fair warning, they don't take reservations but it's worth the wait! I get the "Trust Me"... trust me, it's legit.

▹ Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel - This spot is so glam! Not for nothing, the hotel alone is a must-see when you're in LA. The decor, the vibe, the... everything. You can go for "jazzy brunch" or a fine dining experience for lunch or dinner - all with piano accompaniment!

▹ Katana Robata (the front patio specifically) - I just love good ambiance when it comes to dining. The food is great but the ambiance is better, especially on the front patio. Overlooking sunset blvd, it's the perfect place for a drink and sushi!
▹ The Mondrian restaurant & Sky Bar - I have a special place in my heart for this place, so many good memories there. I just love the view of west LA & the posh vibe out by the pool. The restaurant has changed a few times over the years and I haven't eaten at the new one (Ivory on Sunset) but the menu was designed Brian Malarkey and I am a major fan of all his restaurants so, I'm sure it's great! I have a reservation there on Thursday so, I'll keep you updated! If all else fails, the Sky Bar is a stylish little bungalow by the pool with a killer view!

The following dining suggestions were made by my long time friend, Alesse Bloom. She has exquisite taste in both food and fashion (she helped me start my blog a few years back when she was in fashion PR) & is also the co-founder of the fine jewelry line Lane + Lanae. If you haven't seen her pieces, check out her line HERE. I have almost every ring she makes now, and I've worn them everyday for almost 3 years. I just got this pinky ring in the mail last week!!! #love

Anyway, I haven't been to the restaurants below but I trust her with my diamonds, I trust her with my food...

▹ Republique - Cafe / Bakery / Bistro
▹ Gracias Madre - Mexican Food West Hollywood
▹ Catch LA - Sea food & major hot spot
▹ Scopa Italian Roots & has a secret bar called Old Lightning - Venice
▹ Toca Madera - Mexican Food West Hollywod

Seeing as I'll be in LA a ton this month, I wanted to share my latest obsession (NOT SPONSORED... although it should be, because I can't stop raving about this service)... Silver Car.

I am die hard over this app. Since living in NYC, I don't have a car anymore and there isn't anything I find more annoying than renting a car. The lines, the bullshit, the paperwork, the people... I just can't deal.

Then I found Silver Car! All of the cars are silver Audi A4 models. You download the app, add your driver license, credit card info, schedule your rental and pick up your car. When you get to the pick up, your concierge meets you to scan the vehicle code from the windshield in your app and you're DONE!

The pick up was less than 3 minutes. Anything to save time is a win for me... also didn't hurt to be driving around LA in a fully loaded 2017 model. My last trip was only $45 per day and honestly I would pay more for the convenience factor.

There are located in most major cities in the US... If I can get in touch with them, I'll see if I can snag a coupon code. Stay tuned!!!
