beauty products
I love sharing all my skincare tips and tricks with you guys but as soon as I fall in love with one thing, I'm already crushing on the next. Beauty product monogamy is non-existent in my world.

As a blogger, I get to try allllll kinds of stuff. Sometimes I am trying new products daily but I NEVER post anything I believe in the product. I am always very open minded but I never agree to post anything unless it's passed my, somewhat strict, criteria for bomb ass beauty products.

Right now I am digging a few that I think are a must share!

In no particular order...
pestle and mortar

Okay, this is so me on every level, it's insane. It's almost like they made product with my every want and need in mind. The name explains it all, Retinol Night Oil. It's an oil with retinol. Kind of the holy grail of skincare in my book.

As you know, I am obsessed with oils. I still use cream moisturizers but usually in conjunction with oils, never alone. I will do anything to be EXTRA moist (the word 'moist' is funny).

Some sort of retinol in your daily routine is an absolute must. Retinol is a derivative of vitamin-A that enhances collagen production, smoothes the skin, and evens out pigmentation. This stuff is the real deal.

I need scrubs. Not like in an exaggerated way that I "need" a new pair of shoes. My skin just can't go without scrubs or else I get clogged pores and flaky skin. Gross. I got this Rituals Softening Rice Scrub with a bunch of other products in my GlossyBox subscription & this one was by far my favorite.

I love sugar scrubs but I hate how they disintegrate after 2 seconds of coming in contact with water. This rice scrub keeps it's grainy texture the entire time. My skin is crazy soft afterwards. Strangely, I'm obsessed with using it on my armpits. I feel like my deodorant doesn't come off completely with regular exfoliating. I use this and product under there and they are so nice and soft afterwards.
glycolix spf 30

As you know, I am a psycho about sun screen. I have spent so much time and money correcting all the damage my skin has endured from the sun, break-outs, scars and hormonal imbalances.

NOT every SPF works. Trust me, if every sunscreen did it's job I wouldn't need treatments to get rid of sun damage.

I mean, in sense they all probably work in some way but a lot of sunscreens don't have zinc & if you're not using zinc, you're wasting your money. It won't work.

I recently had a session of the IPL Lumecca from Park Avenue Skin Solutions. This is my 4th treatment since I started 2 years ago and I can't wait to share even more details with you guys about this revolutionary treatment. ZERO downtime and MAJOR results.

I regret so much that I didn't start before & after pictures from the very beginning but you'll see the difference even now with recent photos. It's insane, but more on that next week.

Anyway, I can't go in the sun at all after treatment or else it can reverse the effects and cause even more damage. Now more than ever I need something that works or else things could get ugly (pun intended). Glycolix Elite SPF 30 is amazing, it has 17% zinc oxide so I know my skin is safe.

If you guys didn't read my post on the non-surgical liquid rhinoplasty (catch up here), I get the best skin treatments from the "Expert Injector", Lauren Abramowitz at Park Ave Skin. She is a frequent contributor and clinical expert in the field of cosmetic dermatology to Elle, New York Post, New York Times, Refinery29, American Spa, Gotham, Hamptons and, among many others.

Basically, I trust her with my face AKA my life & this product came highly recommended by her.
lather white clay deep pore cleansing mask

This mask is life right now.

I decided to go off birth control for the firs time in 10 yrs. No, I'm not trying to get pregnant. I just want to give my body a break because I read some disturbing shit about how birth control works in the body & it made me never want to take it again. Maybe I'll do a post on that at some point.

Anyway, my body has been used to this synthetic hormone for a decade and weird physical reactions, such has break outs, are bound to happen. I own a lot of moisturizing, anti-aging type of masks but I always keep acne fighting masks on hand for breakouts and spot treatments.

Lather's White Clay Deep Pore Cleansing Mask is amazing, it dries everything up in one use. You can also smell the tea tree oil, which is so aromatherapeutic.

I have drawer in my bathroom dedicated to masks so their is a lot of competition but this one is at the top of my list. I talked about Lather's Sea Kelp & Ginseng Mask in the post 8 Must-Have Face Masks & their Charcoal and Tea Tree Cleansing Bar is off the charts too.
