Okay guys it's time to get real. As promised from last week's post, (catch up here) I am going to be dishing some major beauty details and letting you in on some
personal topics. Don't worry, it's not gross or inappropriate. Just chatting about the stuff you don't see everyday on Instagram; what's behind the photo.

If you don't know me in real life (sounds weird) you may not know I have little bump on my nose. You can't see it if you're looking at me strait on or even slightly angled. You wouldn't know because I purposely don't take side profile photos and from the front you can't tell.

I'm generally pretty confident and it only bothered me a lot when I was younger. As I got older, I got over it, embraced it, I didn't care.

As a blogger, it's something on my mind because I get shot from every angle and when I'm in public or at an event I can't control which angles I get shot from, it's just not realistic. Video is also hard because it's nearly impossible to film from one angle.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for plastic surgery, but I'm not crazy about it on my face. It's my face. For the most part, I'm generally happy with my appearance. I don't want to change it... it's just that damn bump.

Non-surgical liquid rhinoplasty has changed it all. It's just a little bit of filler and botox. It's so simple and non invasive. Plus, if you don't like it, there is a solution that can break down the filler. It's also like a 10th of the cost of a nose job!! More than anything, I love it because it's not permanent and it's subtle. I don't want to look like a different person, just a more improved version of myself.

The way this procedure works is they put filler in areas that need smoothing and botox in areas that need lifting. So, filler goes around the hump to make it appear less... humpy? and botox usually at the tip to give it a little rise. It's brilliant!

There is one caveat to this procedure... You MUST go to an expert. For my non-surgical liquid rhinoplasty I go to Lauren Abramowitz at Park Avenue Skin Solutions. This is one of those procedures you can't see a run of the mill injector for. It's art, seriously. The way Lauren sculpts my nose is beyond talent. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. This is not one of those things you get a Groupon for!

This little procedure takes about an hour between consulting and injecting. I go to Park Avenue Skincare Solutions because they don't just inject you and push you out the door. Lauren's work is never over the top, she does everything little by little to achieve the perfect look no matter what part of the face she's working on. With that being said, it takes about two visits to get it to where we want it.

So, I will be doing a follow up post with some before and after photos for you guys once the botox has a chance to settle in PLUS an interview from the expert herself!

I'm off to Madrid tonight so you'll be getting some travel posts between now and my follow up visit. If you have any questions send me an email - or you can contact Lauren and her team by clicking here.
