mango salsa

There is SO much excitement going on in New York right now with Fashion Week. You don't even have to go to the shows to feel like you're looking at a catwalk. I finally have a chance to take a moment and catch up on some work and I wanted to make sure to share a favorite little snack of mine.

Last week I was vibing with mangos and this is one of my favorite little dishes.

If you're wondering if the mangos are oddly sweet in the salsa, the citrus really mellows out the flavors and it is the perfect blend, of sweet, spicy & salty.

mango salsa

This dish is great with tacos or as a topping to one of your favorite latin dishes. I like it the best alone with chips, I prefer blue corn chips.

Okay, let's get started...

In a bowl, add the following:

+ 1 diced green onion stalk
+ 1/2 a diced jalapeño
+ 1 lemon squeezed
+ salt & pepper

It's important to do this first and let the ingredients sit in the bowl while you chop the rest. The lemon brings out the flavors in the onion and jalapeño.
