I can't believe this summer is coming to an end! This year has FLOWN by! I feel like I just got into the groove of summer and now it's going to be back to cold and snow in no time. Ugh...

Until then, there is no better time to create some last minute summer party favorites!

I actually took these photos last May and just never got around to writing a post but I am pulling this Raspberry & Pomegranate Fizzy Drink recipe out of my box of tricks for this Labor Day weekend.

I love making my own healthy "sodas". Seriously, thank god I've never been a soda drinker. I am so hashtag blessed not to crave that crap... I have so many other things to worry about aside from being a soda addict!!! Let's just say, if there was a PEA (Pie Eaters Anonymous) I would be the President...

Anyway, we do LOVE sparkling water in our house and this recipe is a healthy and stylish way to amp up your party decor.

I call this a party trick because I swear people are impressed by it. Just a simple little drink that takes minutes to create can turn your boring buffet set up into something that looks strait off of pinterest.

Not to mention, it's a lot prettier and healthier than having a cooler filled with pepsi, sprite or whatever.

The taste can work well as a mixer for fresh summer cocktails by adding your preferred poison... I take tequila but it's also good with vodka!

If you want to spice up your sparkling water, this is great to do by the glass but for more than that, the key to nailing the presentation is all in the bottle.

I LOVE glass bottles with the hinged stoppers. There are a million and one ways to use them and they are great for this. Oh yeah, and they are like $4!

Okay, let's get to it...

In a glass bottle or carafe add the following...

+ 1 handful of raspberries
+  A few sprigs of mint
+ 1 tbsp pomegranate seeds
+ Juice from 1 lemon
+ 1 bottle of ginger ale (Reed's Ginger Brew is great - be careful to choose a brand that doesn't have a ton of preservatives and loads of sugar)

In the remaining space, fill the bottle with with your favorite sparkling water. Place your bottles in the refrigerator for an hour or so, pour over ice and enjoy!

I hope you guys have a great holiday weekend! Be safe! xo

Bargain Tip:
If you take a walk down the drink isle, sometimes there are sodas that are cheaper than $4 that are sold in the same type of bottles. I bought some random cherry and lemon beverages that were on sale. I poured out the sugary junk and used the bottles for my own concoction.
