Travel has been a huge part of my life this year and I could not be more grateful. I feel like I've been so caught up in trying to be an "adult" I didn't realize how much fun there is to be had as an adult. For the first time in my life I can honestly say, there is nothing holding me back from what I want to be doing.

I was in New York a few weeks back and, as I was drinking Sangria at a Tapas bar, I decided to book a flight to Madrid. Crazy right? I recently reconnected with someone from my past who has totally helped me to embrace my spontaneous spirit. I've always been told that I am crazy and irresponsible but I realized the people telling me these things were living in fear of breaking routine or losing control. Needless to say, I stopped listening to what everyone had to say and I am happier than ever.

This year, I decided to take a risk and leave my cookie cutter job to work for myself. I was terrified that I wouldn't make it on my own. In actuality, holding myself 100% accountable for every business aspect has made me twice as successful and I now have the flexibility to go when I want, work where I want... and hop a flight to Spain on a whim.

All in all, the best advice I can give anyone looking to spice up their lives is, STOP listening to what everyone thinks you should do, don't be afraid to take risks and embrace the magic in change.

So,  I headed to Spain for a few days, shared sangria and laughs with my lover and did a little bit of sight seeing! I must say, those Spaniards love HAM! Omg I ate so much ham... or as they say, jamón. If I wasn't eating ham I was eating fried green peppers. I couldn't even control myself, it was all so delicious!

PS. The shopping was insane; the euro to dollar conversion rate is seriously in our favor right now!
