Confession: When it comes to working out I’m not the most motivated person.

I go through phases where I exercise more frequently but during the cold weather months I find it difficult because I enjoy outdoor activities the most. I dabble in Yoga and Pilates but you are never going to find me at the gym on the treadmill…ever.

Last weekend I was shopping with some friends at Graced By Grit (cutest workout gear!)  and we all agreed that cute gym attire was a total exercise motivator. When I'm feeling good in a new workout suit I will make time to show it off. It’s like when you buy a pair of shoes and you literally look for things to do so you can put them on. Get a new outfit and you will find ways to wear it.

If you are like me and you hate gyms, there are so many activities you can do outdoors that are more enjoyable then a stinky 24 hour fitness. Get dressed up and find a trail near your house and go on a hike or bike ride with a friend. If you have a dog, make time after work and take your fur ball on a long walk or jog. The weather is beginning to warm up so get creative, soak up some vitamin D and burn some calories!

PS. In the morning, I do this 15 minute yoga exercise  to get the blood flowing and get focused for the day. It’s a great way to start/finish a work out session.
